New Year’s Eve is basically the grand finale of the year—and it deserves a little drama (the fun kind). Whether you’re going all out, staying in, or doing a bit of both, New Year’s Eve is about celebrating fresh starts, good memories, and staying up way past your usual bedtime.
So grab something bubbly (sparkling cider totally counts), throw on something shiny, and let’s talk New Year’s Eve fun.
🥂 Start the Night With Something Sparkly
If there’s one night to lean into the glitter, it’s this one.
Sequins? Yes.
Metallics? Absolutely.
Fancy pajamas for staying in? Also acceptable.
Even if you’re just at home, dressing up makes the night feel like an event—and honestly, we deserve that energy.
🍾 Food That Feels Fancy (But Is Actually Easy)
New Year’s Eve food is all about snacks you can graze on all night.
Mini appetizers and finger foods
Charcuterie boards (aka cheese doing the most)
Bite-sized desserts
Anything you can eat with one hand while holding a drink in the other is a win.
🎶 Set the Mood With a Playlist
Music = instant party vibes. Mix in:
Throwback favorites
Current hits
One dramatic countdown song for midnight
Bonus points if there’s spontaneous dancing in the kitchen.
🎉 Fun Ways to Celebrate (No Matter Your Plans)
There’s no “right” way to do New Year’s Eve—just your way.
Hosting a party: Games, confetti, and a photo corner make it memorable.
Staying in: Cozy blankets, movies, and snacks all night long.
Virtual celebrating: Group calls, countdowns, and shared playlists still bring the fun.
It’s about connection, not location.
✨ The Magic of the Countdown
There’s something special about those last 10 seconds of the year. The cheering, the laughter, the “Wait—what year is it?!” moment. Whether you’re surrounded by friends or ringing it in quietly, that countdown always feels hopeful.
Midnight isn’t just a time—it’s a reset button.
🎇 Looking Ahead
After the confetti settles and the clock strikes twelve, there’s a fresh year waiting. New plans, new memories, and new opportunities to make life a little sweeter.
So raise a glass, make a wish, and step into the new year with excitement and a smile.
Here’s to late nights, bright beginnings, and a year that surprises us in the best way. 🥂✨

Although 2020 will definitely go under as one of the toughest years all of us had to live through in our lifetimes (and that’s saying a lot living in a post 9/11 world and economic meltdown of 2008 in which most of us are still trying to recover from). But for some creatives this year of solitude has somehow ignited a fire. And although I haven’t been in lockdown due to my job’s office being open throughout the whole pandemic, I suppose the possible threat to my own mortality and desire to hide away in a daydreams is what has turned out to be one of the most prolific years for me in terms of my writing.
*Be more active on Instagram (create more content)
*Maybe put together a collection of my short stories

You may have heard celebrities rave about this diet, or maybe you have a friend who is trying it out. But what exactly does this diet consist of?
Basically, it’s a high fat, low carbohydrate diet. What are some of the benefits of this diet? Apart from being a healthy alternative, it also is linked with potential weight loss and fat loss.
A Keto diet is made up more or less of:
55-60% fats
30-35% protein
5-10% carbohydrates
But what do those percentages mean and how do they translate into a meal plan?
A basic Keto meal contains less than 50grams of carbs per day. The majority of calories in a Keto diet comes from fats, while a small portion comes from proteins.
Why is this diet effective?
Usually, the body relies on carbohydrates for energy, but when it can’t it will begin to burn fat for fuel. This is why a high-fat diet will help reduce fat mass, waist circumference, and overall weight.
Below is a 1-Week Meal Plan:
Have you tried Keto Diet before or are you planning to in the New Year? Let me know in the comments below!

Will begin a new segment in my blog that will be once a month called “Love or Hype?” where I’ll try out, watch, read or listen to something that is uber popular but I have never given in to and will report back if I DID enjoy it or if it was just hyped up.

What are your book resolutions for the new year? I always aim to try to read 2 books a month (roughly 24 books a year, and this past year I surpassed my goal).
