Review: Christophe Robin Hydrating Leave-In Mist With Aloe Vera

What It Is: Leave-In Mist

Active Ingredients: Aloe Vera and flaxseed extract.

Verdict: First things first: this spray smells what you would imagine Kate Middleton’s locks would smell like – elegant and expensive. Secondly, this spray left my hair feeling incredibly soft that I could help but to want to keep running my fingers through my hair. If you have frizz-prone hair (like I do) this really helps with keeping the frizzies at bay and helps your strands stay smooth as silk. It also helps nourish your hair and prevent split ends if used regularly. If you’re going to splurge on a leave-in spray, then this should be your top choice.

Review: Dry Bar Prep Rally

What It Is: Hair Primer

What It Does: Primes and detangles hair

Active Ingredients: Biotin, Vitamins B & C, and Sea Berry Oil

Verdict: It’s rare when I find a hair product that actually delivers on its promises. When I received this in my Fab Fit Fun box I wasn’t expecting miracles. Very few heat protectant sprays actually seem to work or at least provide me proof that they’re working. This is why I rarely wish to try new hair products because of my faith in them is so low. Fast forward to the first time I used this product. HOLY SHIT! This product not only delivers on its promises but goes above and beyond any expectations I may have had. All I used were three spritzes on towel-dried hair, and once I was done drying my hair I noticed a HUGE DIFFERENCE. First of all, it made my hair very manageable (it’s no easy feat for a product to do that when you’ve got unruly frizzy curls to work with) and also left them feeling incredibly soft. I don’t think I’ve ever had hair this soft in my life before and the feeling is euphoric to say the least. Now I can see why celebs rave so much about this company, and since this product worked so well I am very curious to try out anything else they have to offer. Out of all the products that I found in my Fab Fit Fun box, this is one that I will definitely purchase on my own once it’s done.

Review: Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo Invisible Spray

oscar-blandi-pronto-dry-shampoo-invisible-spray-3

What It Is: A dry shampoo for all hair colours and types

What It Does: It absorbs scalp oils allowing you to skip washing your hair for a day or two or could be used to add texture to fine hair for updos.

What Sets It Apart From Others: It’s clear, meaning no gunky white powder-like residue when yo spray, it’s got Vitamin E for shine, and a slight scent of verbena making you feel like you’ve got clean, washed hair when you’re just faking it.

Verdict: I’ve had this product for awhile but hadn’t had a chance to use it because I’ve been using Nexxus Dry Shampoo (another favourite of mine). But when going on vacation I had to opt for a smaller bottle so I decided to give this a try seeing that I had a small travel size of it on hand. Sometimes when you’re on vacation (especially if you were like me, visiting five cities in five days with crazy wakeup calls at 4:30a.m. trying to wash your hair isn’t your priority when that means you can snooze for another half hour), so dry shampoos come in handy. I used this on the fourth day of no washing and instantly it dried up any oil-build up and truly gave my thick strands a must-needed lift. My hair didn’t look nor feel dirty after using it and the slight scent could’ve fooled anyone that I had just shampooed it. If you’ve got fine hair, you’ll probably have to use it by your third day and may have to wash it the following day. Thicker hair as myself can manage for a couple more days after using it.

How To Use It: I sprayed this on the roots and lifted my hair and continued to spray till I had covered the majority of my head. I then used my fingertips to massage the dry shampoo in, combed it, and put it up in a bun for the night. The following morning I let my hair down, finger combed it and was good to go!
