Saturday Skin Pretty Pop Moisturizer Review: Hydration and Glow Benefits Unveiled

What It Is: Luxurious Moisturizer with Probiotics and Prebiotics.

What It Does: Helps protect and hydrate skin.

Active Ingredients: Niacinamide, Okra, and White Lupin.

Verdict: I’ve been a big fan of previous Saturday Skin products, especially their cleanser and glacial water cream. So I was really excited to try out this moisturizer. This cream is best for people who have dry skin and aiming to banish their fine lines. I have oily skin, but found that this moisturizer worked well for me too. I love how my skin was left feeling supple and incredibly soft. You can wear this moisturizer under makeup if you need to as it’s not greasy and can be easily mixed with a tinted moisturizer or foundation. The glow after you use this cream is incredible – get this if you want to achieve that effortless amazing skin glow that has been very popular on social media for years. The price point on this product is very reasonable and for the benefits, it’s definitely worth it. Check it out if you’re shopping for a new moisturizer or simply want to try one that will give you that must needed glow.

Review: Fenty Thicc N Smooth Rich Peptide Eye Cream

What It Is: A thick, rich, all-in-one eye cream that visibly hydrates, brightens, and reduces the look of puffiness with a blend of eye-targeted peptides, caffeine, and vitamins.

What It Does: Reduces fine lines and moisturizes the eye area.

Active Ingredients: -Hyaluronic Acid, Kalahari Melon, Baobab Oil: Hydrate, support, and nourish the skin.
-Polyglutamic Acid: Is a moisture-binding peptide that plumps skin with hydration.
-Illipe Butter: Is fatty acid-rich to replenish skin’s moisture.

Verdict: This cream is what I look for in an eye cream. It’s very rich and thick (so I recommend using at night) but leaves your skin feeling immensely moisturized. The packaging is also very genius, as it has a twist mechanism, so you’re not digging into the cream with your fingers or nails (so no bacteria can get into the cream). You simply twist and a small dime sized amount comes out, which is more than enough for both eyes. This cream is excellent for all skin types – I have oily and find it doesn’t feel heavy. Fenty created an amazing product and will definitely be one of my go-to eye creams from now on.

One Size by Patrick Starr Ultra-Pigmented Three-in-One Blush Palette Review: What You Need to Know

What It Is: A three-in-one ultra-pigmented blush palette.

Active Ingredients: Dragon Fruit Extract (helps grip and extend wear)

Verdict: I really wanted to like this product a lot, as I’ve recently been in love with blushes and been truly experimenting and checking out so many of them. Okay, my issue with this blush is that it doesn’t blend that well as they claim it does. It’s kinda splotchy – especially if you use a blush brush. If you use your fingers, it blends a little better. The colors are okay – but the color I was sent wasn’t the most flattering pink for me. I’ve read reviews that the cream blush tends to get mold easily – so far that hasn’t happened to me. Thing is, for the price point, this blush isn’t all that, and there are better options, even at a lower price point. The overall packaging is very cute and promising however, the product itself is lacking. I was disappointed. Nice concept, but terrible execution.

Review: Kate Somerville EradiKate Acne Mark Fading Gel

What It Is: An acne fading gel.

What It Does: Fades any acne scars or dark spots caused by acne or other skin conditions.

Active Ingredients: Salicyclic Acid and Niacinamide.

Best For: Oily, combination, or acne-prone skins.

Verdict: I recently had a mini breakout caused by a cluster of tiny acne spots all in one area, once the blemishes were gone, I was plagued by dark spots. This has been the norm I’ve noticed when it comes to dealing with acne as an adult. I never saw this happening to my skin when I had zits as a teen. Anyway, I tried this gel and I was very impressed! Within the first two days of using it, the dark spots completely vanished! And this is a big deal as usually the dark spots last about a week or two post zit for me, so this was a complete game changer. Now, I don’t know if you should continue using this as an every day skincare routine or if you can use this only post acne. I say this because the price point on this is kinda hefty, but it does work so I can’t complain too much.

Review: Joanna Vargas Magic Serum

What It Is: A hydrating serum.

What It Does: Soothes and strengthens skin.

Active Ingredients: Centella Asiatica, Panthenol, and Shea Butter

Verdict: I wasn’t a big fan of the consistency of this serum. I was expecting more of a gel-like cream, instead it was more on the creamy side. It felt more like a moisturizing cream rather than a serum, and despite the price point on this, I don’t know if I noticed much a difference in my skin from using this. It’s not a bad product, but I don’t think the benefits are enough for the price point. Not to mention that the serum didn’t quickly absorb in the skin, so layering this with another cream afterwards can get kind of messy.

Review: Earth Harbor Azure Regenerative Neck Cream

What It Is: Hydrating neck cream

What It Does: Helps with fine lines, firmness, hyperpigmentation, dryness, and dull skin

Active Ingredients: Seaweed Amino Acids and Copper Peptides

Verdict: I’m a fan of plant based skincare, and more so when it comes to skincare that uses seaweed. I love how this cream feels hydrating but also isn’t sticky. It quickly absorbs into the skin leaving the neck feeling soft and smooth. I’ve always been kinda obsessed with taking care of my neck and eye area as those are the two places where skin is the thinnest and the first place that shows any signs of aging. This female owned company is really excellent at targeting this skin concern. The price point is doable, and since you’re only using this cream for the neck area, it will last for a long time. I recommend this if you’re looking for a neck cream, although Earth Harbor has a lot of other amazing skincare you might want to check out!

Review: Goldfaden Md. Plant Profusion Supreme Serum

What It Is: A hydrating serum

What It Does: Makes skin smoother, glowier, and evens out skin tone.

Active Ingredients: Raspberry Stem Cells, Comfrey Stem Cells, Swiss Cress Sprouts, and Japonica Flower Extract

Verdict: If you’re into vegan skincare then I would absolutely recommend this serum (but it’s also great for those that just want an effective serum). What I love about this serum is that it feels incredible and leaves your skin feeling amazing. It absorbs into the skin right away, allowing moisturized to be layered without feeling like you have too much on. I did notice that my skin looks more glowy since using this serum. I think the only con of this serum is the price point. $235 is kind of on the pricier side (although you do only use a few drops so it’s possible that it’ll last for awhile).

Review: Youth to the People Kale + Green Tea Spinach Vitamins Superfood Cleanser

What It Is: A gel Facial Cleanser

Active Ingredients: Kale, Spinach, Green Tea, Alfalfa, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E

Verdict: I really enjoyed the sample I received from Sephora (although the packaging in a glass bottle was tricky to use without a pump). But I love how fresh it feels and smells. I like that it’s a gel and it doesn’t get too soapy, but it leaves skin feeling clean. It truly cleanses pores and gets rid of any oiliness (which is my concern when waking up first thing in the morning) but it also leaves skin feeling hydrated, it doesn’t strip away oils so you don’t get that “tight” feeling (that I’m not really a fan of). I recommend this cleanser for all skin types and if you like your skin to feel supple and fresh and also want a clean and vegan option to skincare.

Review: LaPalette Beauty Hydra Blue Petal Serum Toner

What It Is: Multi-Skincare 3-in-1 Toner + Serum + Hydrogel Mask

What It Does: Helps exfoliate, hydrate, and replenish skin.

Active Ingredients: Iris Versicolor extract, triple hyaluronic acid

Verdict: I really love how this toner feels on my skin because it acts like a toner but at the same is also a serum. The hydration this toner gives is truly unbelievable! I have oily skin, but still feel like this helps in both eliminating dead skin and keeping skin feeling fresh and plump. This would be excellent for dry skin (probably for all skin types but dry skin would really do well with this kind of toner). If you’ve always hated how other toners feel drying, then this one would be the perfect one for you.

Review: Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection Blurring Under-Eye Setting Powder

What It Is: A blurring under-eye powder with a brightening, soft-focus finish.

What It Does: Blurs fine lines and helps set concealer.

Verdict: Seeing that I have hereditary dark circles, using concealer has always been a must for me. What that means is that I’ve tried every concealer, eye cream, and powders one can possibly imagine to find the best one that doesn’t look cakey, doesn’t look dry, and that can pass off as skin. As far as concealers go my go-to favourites have been Glossier Stretch Concealer and Tarte Shape Tape. I usually use both at the same time targeting different areas on my eye. Setting the concealer has always been an issue even when you have the best powder, it can still look cakey. So I was thrilled to try out this setting powder specifically made for the under-eye area. This product is fantastic! It doesn’t dry out the eye area, but at the same time still manages to blur the concealer in a way that makes it seem like it’s your actual skin! I absolutely love this (I had high hopes since I truly love Pat McGrath Labs products in general). Some may find this a little pricey, but if you’re only using it for the under-eye (you honestly only need one sweep with the kabuki brush) it’s bound to last a very long time. I recommend this if you need to conceal dark circles, want to brighten the area without making it look cakey and dry, or blur fine lines.
